Apprenticeship Standard – Business Administrator

The Apprenticeship Standard for Business Administrators are for learners working in an administrative job role where they will be involved in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The qualification is designed to help develop and apply the technical and behavioural knowledge and understanding required to become competent and successful in an administrative job role.

The qualification gives learners the opportunity to:

  • develop the technical knowledge and understanding that underpins competence in an administrative job role 
  • develop and demonstrate a range of transferable skills and professional behaviours and attributes in the work environment
  • achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification
  • develop confidence and readiness for the apprenticeship end-point assessment
  • develop personal growth and engagement in learning

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship standard is comprised of the following elements:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma for Business Administrators

Transferable Skills

Functional Skill in English Level 2

Functional Skill in Level 2 Mathematics

20% Additional off the job training Must be at least 20% of the time; is paid and outside the normal day-to-day working duties. It can include: * Theory teaching * Practical training (e.g. shadowing, mentoring, industry visits, attendance at competitions) * Learning support * Writing assignments/assessments * Research

End Point Assessment (Requirement to achieve the Apprenticeship Standard)
